Mimecast Named Microsoft WPC 2011
Partner Award Finalist

Helped fast growing Microsoft ISV, Mimecast, pull together a winning entry for the 2011 Microsoft WPC Awards in double quick time.

Pulling an award nomination together with no time to spare
Microsoft Gold partner, Mimecast offers a range of cloud services that make Exchange and Office 365 an even more powerful offering. Founded in the UK in 2003 it is growing fast with more than 11million mailboxes currently under management worldwide.
Always looking for ways to build Mimecast's profile, Julian Martin, VP Business Development, was keen to submit a nomination for the Microsoft 2011 Worldwide Partner Conference Awards but with the deadline looming turned to Microsoft Partner Account Manager, Hayley Rixon, for advice on who he could work with to pull everything together and make it happen.
"I gave them a number of options of people to go with, including ResourceiT who I knew had written successful nominations in the past," says Hayley Rixon.
Building the submission in close collaboration
Competition for the WPC Awards is fierce. Because Mimecast is relatively new to the Microsoft Partner Network we first identified a category where it would be strongest and had the best chance.
Everything Mimecast does is designed to make technology work better for customers and it really does treat the customer as king. So much so that in 2010 it reorganised its business around the customer and appointed a Chief Customer Officer.
Rather than going for the ISV industry award that Mimecast was first looking at, it made complete sense to go instead for the 'Innovative Customer Advocacy Partner of the Year' .
In a collaborative and incredibly smooth process, we worked with Mimecast to pull together all of the supporting evidence and write and submit the answers to the ten nomination questions in double quick time.
Finalist for Innovative Customer Advocacy Partner of the Year
The great news for Mimecast is that it was one of three finalists worldwide. A remarkable achievement for a partner that is so new to the Microsoft Partner Network. Hayley Rixon underlines this when she says, "It's phenomenal really for a partner that has come out of nowhere to become a finalist in such a short space of time. To achieve this in a matter of months, with Microsoft is incredible!"
Julian Martin at Mimecast is "thrilled with the nomination". He says, "What ResourceiT has helped us pull together is just great. We put a lot of value on our partnership with Microsoft and of course our customers. What a fantastic endorsement of what we do."

"We're thrilled with the nomination. To be one of the three finalists is just an amazing achievement We knew were pushing it with the timescales so ResourceiT's help was invaluable in getting it all pulled together and presenting Mimecast in such a good light."
