So here goes…

Firstly – we are a small but perfectly formed digital marketing agency but that doesn’t mean our clients are small. It means we do a lot of different things for some great companies such as Microsoft, Tech Data, and SCC – and sometimes run around with our hair on fire as we work our little socks off to amaze the clients that have taken the decision to invest in us. It can be craaazy busy, but we have a lot of fun and boy do we have scope to propose new stuff. Every day there’s something new to do or learn, or think about.

Secondly – we look after each other, and understand that flexible working might be really important to the right person. So, although we have a full-time role to fill, that doesn’t mean we are not open to suggestions about how that could be delivered. So don’t hold back if you need us to be a bit flexible with what we can do to accommodate you. We’ll go the extra mile for the right person.

Thirdly – our digital services have gone through the roof over the last 18 months as we have focused heavily on how important digital marketing is and really are looking for someone that can really get to grips with our digital services and own, lead and manage the digital team to ASTOUND the clients we work for. This is definitely a role that is all about growth. We are looking for someone that wants to be exposed to learning more about how the business works, and shaping and developing the services we create, market and sell.

Fourthly – we love to travel to events, all over the world.  So not only are we looking for someone who can help us to innovate and stay ahead of the competition, but we are willing to let you spread your wings and fly, fly, fly (to wherever we need to, in order to win, win, win). Do you know we have been attending Microsoft Inspire for 15 years in the US and this year it’s in Las Vegas?? We want our Senior Digital Marketing Manager to come everywhere with us, meet clients (quite often Senior Execs), attend events, engage with partners, you name it we want you out there and tweeting about it!

Fifthly (not sure there is such a word) – well anyway, we have a bonus and share-option scheme in place. So bonuses are all about going over and above, and getting recognised and rewarded for that (which you will have sewn in to your package), and the share-option scheme means that after a qualifying period you get to own a little bit of the company yourself (so if it ever sells, we are all quids-in).

The role:

In a nut-shell this is a role for an experienced digital marketing professional and subject matter expert who leads the digital team to deliver amazing results and owns, leads, creates, manages and executes innovate digital marketing projects for our clients (such as Microsoft, SCC, Tech Data, Jabra and Capita) on time and within budget. The sky is the limit for what you can do in this role.

Main responsibilities:

  • Own the digital services for ResourceiT – by that we mean take control of the services we promote, market and sell and how they are delivered

  • Identify and develop strategic relationships with key partners such as LinkedIn, Google and SharpSpring and manage effectively

  • In a sales support capacity work alongside the business development team at pre-sales to win great projects and then take ownership for the client relationship on-going – understanding that great business is profitable business, so making smart business decision is key

  • By owning the client relationship, we mean from talking to them, mapping out their campaigns, flagging when changes could be made to optimise and also being strong enough to tell clients ‘no’ from time to time

  • Regularly innovate to maintain a suite of digital services that are leading edge, market competitive, engaging and drive business results for ResourceiT clients

  • Manage and maintain the digital team to ensure work delivered is of consistently high quality

  • Work closely and in partnership with the in-house design team to delight and excite clients and encourage long-term relationships

  • Create original, compelling and relevant digital campaigns for clients ensuring quality and delivery timescales are met and wherever possible exceeded

  • Act as a consultant on digital services (SEO, PPC, LinkedIn) and execute as appropriate

  • Be the subject matter expert for digital within the business, share knowledge with your team and colleagues and work to consistently raise the bar on the digital services delivered

  • Amaze clients by generating the right traffic to their websites and online content, and consistently seek ways to improve engagement and increase investment

  • Monitor statistics, analyse trends and compile and present informative and insightful client reports and make recommendations on how results can be improved

  • Communicate professionally face to face, over the telephone and via email in order to build, grow and maintain excellent client relationships

  • Take initiative and show digital leadership with each client project and always strive for excellence, going over and above whenever possible/necessary

  • Ensure all internal reporting is completed for digital services weekly on time and to the right standard

  • Work closely with the ResourceiT Senior Management team to generate growth and engagement across ResourceiT social networks

  • Be willing and available to attend relevant all expenses-paid events (UK travel expected, but also could include events taking place in the US such as Microsoft Inspire and others)

Who are you?

  • A digital expert, leading the way with your digital knowledge and keeping up to date on the latest trends and technologies in B2B marketing

  • Having worked in the ‘IT industry’ for a few years as part of a marketing team (either in an agency, vendor, distributor or reseller), you understand the market, are commercially aware and are absolutely ready for the next step in your career

  • You are someone who relishes the idea of rolling up their sleeves and getting stuck in with technology giants such as Microsoft and Citrix.  You are not afraid of a challenge or of bringing new ideas or new ways of working to the table

  • As part of a great team of people that are B2B focused you’ll need to understand ‘channel’ and be as passionate as we are about how channel relationships thrive

  • Your extensive knowledge of Social business platforms means you understand how to drive results using LinkedIn, Twitter and Google

  • A natural leader, you can energise people to meet goals and objectives and are ready to take on the responsibility and leadership of the digital team  

  • With an eye for numbers you know how critical it is for all projects to remain within budget and can accurately report to the business and clients on performance

  • You are an ideas person that is consistently striving for new, innovative ways to delight clients and enhance our digital products and services – taking control of our digital services lights you up

  • A team player, who is easy to work with, and keen to be engaged across the entire business you pride yourself on your positive mindset and strong communication skills
